About Aardvark Coffee Company
MEET THE TATUM FAMILY
HOW IT STARTED
Randy Tatum came to his kids one day and said, “I want to start a coffee company, and I want to name it Aardvark Coffee Company: Better Than Ants.”Â
His kids laughed and said, “Dad, we cannot associate eating ants with our coffee company!” But Randy stuck with Aardvark, and it was fortuitous: turns out that Aardvarks are a symbol of resilience and blessing in African cultures.Â
FROM OUR FAMILY TO YOURS
Randy and his family want their coffee to bring resilience and strength to their customers but also to the farmers who supply their farm-to-cup coffee.Â
Aardvark Coffee Company is the coffee that conquers for customers and for the farmers who bring such delicious, sustainable, direct-to-your-door coffee.Â
The Tatums wish you good fortune, blessing, and resilience as you work, live, and play in your communities. May you conquer the good in your day, your communities, and your families! You deserve a coffee that tastes good and helps you do good in the world!
MEET THE FARMERS
Paula Concha steps out of her door to a breathtaking view and clean mountain air. Her coffee farm, Santa Elena, flourishes in Ciudad BolĂvar in Colombia, South America.
Santa Elena operates under the "cherry center" model: their neighbors deliver harvested coffee cherries and the team at Santa Elena processes them with sustainable methods. Paula and Samuel get the best quality coffee beans and also pay fair wages to their neighbors.
Aardvark Coffee Company celebrates the intricate expertise of Santa Elena’s sustainable farming by paying 145% above fair wages. Our coffee helps us conquer the good in the world, too. Conquer your day with a cup of Fortico, named after the strength of Santa Elena’s farmers.
Arnie is our mascot, who loves great coffee but only if it’s sustainably farmed with fair wages paid to farmers.
Only the best for this Aardvark. He has A LOT of ants to conquer each day.
